Super Bowl 44 is just days away and the excitement is really starting to build.
It pits the AFC's top seeded Colts against the NFC's #1 seeded Saints.
The betting line has wavered from as low as 3 points to as high as 6 in favour of Peyton Manning and company.
Buit there's more to just betting on who is going to win or lose and by how much.
Every year, Las Vegas oddsmakers and a host of gambling sites come out with what are known as Super Bowl props, or propositions.
For instance, you can bet on the coin toss... heads or tails, and which team will correctly guess the toss.
You can lay money down on which team will score first and which team will commit their first penalty.
There are also individual props, such as who will throw or run for more touchdowns, etc.
I really like the odd ball props, like how long will Carrie Underwood's anthem last?
Which CBS show will get the most promo's during the game?
And what colour will the Gatorade be that is dumped on the winning head coach?
My bet is on blue... wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
The Zamp has ranted.

The betting line ...whether it is who wears what...who wins the first quarter..or who does what...when...is a farse. But as an open advocate of Vegas Life...one wonders why the game cannot just be played? Perhaps its vainty or greed or both. In the end the spactacle of the game suffices...Lord knows I will be at work for the SuperXXZZVV...and even for the Olympics I will be in the heart of the demon..Vegas! All I know is...I will cheer both teams...because both have substantive reasons to win....As for the Games...of course...even in Vegas...I will bring my Canadian jersey...and cheer...if we as a nation win...in a very difficult. politically driven and complicated Games..
