ESPN's Pierre LeBrun recently interviewed Anaheim Ducks general manager Bob Murray, who said he had no intention of shopping winger Bobby Ryan and instead hopes to re-sign Ryan this summer.
SPECTOR'S TAKE: Ryan is a restricted free agent this summer, on pace for a career-best 35-goal season as a sophomore, is third on the Ducks in points this season and leads the team in goal-scoring. No wonder Murray has no intention of trading him!
Murray might have to do some numbers juggling in the off-season if he's to re-sign Ryan, Jonas Hiller, James Wisniewski and perhaps Scott Niedermayer, but it won't involve moving Ryan. Don't be surprised if J.S. Giguere is either dealt or bought out this summer.
